Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

247TechTeam ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to 247techteam.com and to the remote technical support services we provide.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information you provide directly

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, mailing address.
  • Account details: username, password (stored hashed), communication preferences.
  • Order and booking details: services purchased, preferred date and time, operating system.
  • Support messages: content of chats, emails, support tickets, and session notes.
  • Review content you submit for public display (name, location, rating, written review).

b. Information collected automatically

  • Device and connection data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Essential cookies for authentication, shopping cart, security, and session continuity.
  • If and when enabled, aggregated analytics (such as Google Analytics 4) that measure traffic patterns and feature usage.

c. Information from third parties

  • Payment confirmation data from our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Fraud-prevention signals from banking or payment partners.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, schedule, and deliver the Services you request.
  • Create and manage your account and authenticate access.
  • Process payments, refunds, and chargebacks.
  • Communicate with you about appointments, tickets, service updates, and policy changes.
  • Diagnose technical issues, protect against fraud, and improve the website and Services.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Legal Bases (for users in the EEA / UK)

If the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to perform the Services you purchase or book.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve our business, prevent fraud, and respond to your inquiries, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: to meet tax, accounting, and consumer-protection requirements.
  • Consent: for optional analytics or marketing where consent is required; you can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Service Providers We Use

We share limited personal information only with vendors who help us run the business under written confidentiality and data-processing terms:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Payment processor (activated at launch).
  • Email delivery provider (transactional email over SMTP).
  • Remote-support software provider, when a session is initiated by you.
  • AI technology providers used to power limited assistant features and content tools (large language model and image-generation services, including OpenAI and Google Gemini, accessed through our platform partner). Chat content you submit may be processed by these services to generate a reply; we do not use your personal information to train third-party models.
  • Analytics (such as Google Analytics 4) once activated and only in a privacy-respectful configuration.

5. Remote Sessions

During a consent-based remote-support session, your technician can see what is displayed on your screen to diagnose and resolve the issue. Close private documents, email, and banking tabs before the session begins. We do not record remote sessions by default. Session notes may be kept to document the work performed.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for login, cart, security, and session continuity. If you opt in, we may use analytics cookies to measure site performance. You can control cookies through the "Cookie preferences" link in our footer and your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent important features of the site from working.

7. How Long We Keep Data

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Typical retention periods are: order and tax records for up to 7 years; support tickets and chat transcripts for up to 24 months; marketing records until you unsubscribe; website logs for up to 12 months.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including password hashing, encryption of data in transit (HTTPS), access controls, two-factor authentication for staff accounts, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Transfers

247TechTeam is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international data transfers.

10. Your Rights

a. Everyone

You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion where applicable, by contacting Support@247techteam.com. We will verify your identity before acting on the request.

b. Residents of the European Economic Area / United Kingdom (GDPR)

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

c. Residents of California (CCPA / CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, the right to delete personal information (subject to exceptions), the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out requirement for our Services; you can still make a general privacy request by emailing us at the address above. If an authorized agent submits a request on your behalf, we may require written authorization.

d. Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws

If you are a resident of a U.S. state that has adopted a comprehensive privacy law (for example, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, or Utah), you have substantially similar rights, which you can exercise by contacting us using the details below.

11. Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date, and material changes will be announced on the website.
